The Mayor of Spongeknuckle Street now has a place he can use to muse, gripe, ponder and hype. Order!

Thick or Thin

After a long hiatus, I've been lucky enough to get on the ice twice in as many days!

Yesterday I went to town with some errands to do, and among those was to play a lunch hour drop-in hockey game. It turned out to be a great way to cleanse my hockey palette after a crappy game in Victoria with the Knuckleheads some weeks back. Then today, I took a solo spin on one of the local frozen lakes -- Morrison Marsh. I played around as Bethany patiently waited, snapped photos and opened the mail. There's nothing like the feel of an outdoor skate! I could have gone the full 2 kms, but didn't want to get too far away and fall through. It's warming up a bit, so I'm hoping for another cold snap to firm up the ponds and hopefully I can crash in on a shinny game sometime.
