I Love Hot Dogs

This is the photo I want to use for my profile, and posting it as a blog entry seems to be the only way to get it done (that I can figure out). So I might as well tell you about this fantastic hot dog! I got it from a street vendor in Waterloo, Ontario during my recent Cross-Canada road trip. Now, I love hot dogs (obvious). And I hear from some that street vendor dogs are to be avoided. I've never had a problem with one, and they were a cheap and available food source for me in Toronto especially. If I want one here in Victoria though, it's either at 7-11 (cheap) or from Bethy's mom's kitchen (free). Never Mr. Tube Steak! Somehow that seems too much to pay at home but not on the road. The big city dogs are great, usually two bucks, and come with a wide variety of toppings. Never had green olives in a hot dog until Toronto! The best hot dogs I've ever devoured are from the Dog House restaurant in Duncan, and from a small cafe in Montreal. The latter was a foot long wrapped in fresh dough and baked up right around the weiner, awesome! The dogs at Bear Mountain Arena are pretty good too, you can add fresh tomatoes.

heya Steve-o, welcome to the blogosphere. Remember to throw a bone to your readers regularly, even if it is a chewed-out old moldy one. The masses get grouchy if left to starve for too long.
I too am a lover of the Hot Dog. When I was in Mexico a few weeks back I had, quite possibly, the best hot dog ever. I got it in this little shop near the ruins at Tulum for 15 pesos. It was fantastic. I had two. Love the hot dog.
