Big Game Tonight

Not only does tonight's Knuckleheads contest fall on my birthday -- it's also a game vs. the Jets (former Typhoons, who used to be our nastiest rivals). They're the guys I've been reffing for until recently. Also, it's at Pearkes -- the place of my head-busting fiasco, almost a year ago to the day. So, hopefully a win will help celebrate all these things. This time though, the drinking starts AFTER the game. I'm looking for a big performance tonight, from the back end. Haven't put on the Orange in a week and a half.

This photo was one of several I demanded the rock tour be halted for during our trans-Canada drive last year. The homes of NHL'ers are sure proud of their boys. This is why I took my team jersey along. Also got photos with Bobby Orr's sign at Parry Sound, in Windsor looking across at JLA, at Skydome, the Hockey Hall of Fame, and with the great Guy Lafleur in person! A great big Happy Birthday to Daddy-O, who was born 32 years and one day before I was!

Oh yeah, no longer refereeing Saturday nights. Now that I'm full-time at the station, working two evenings per week (sometimes more) I don't want to be giving up my Saturday nights for $40. Triple it, and we'll talk.
