Totally Tuesday

This is a fishing store in Puerto Vallarta we came across on an evening walk. If you're looking for a franchise opportunity in Victoria, give them a call. Don't know if it would meet the same success here though.

Picking up from my last entry: The Knuckleheads won Saturday night's tilt 10-3, a true waxing of the hated Jets. Our team leader Tyler made it clear we were not to celebrate (rub it in) after we had enough goals to put 'em away -- as they did to us in a game earlier this year. So, we didn't, and it was a truly satisfying win. I chipped in a few assists, two at least (but who's counting). After the game, a handful of us went to Denny's for some late night munchies.

Tonight the K-Heads play the Victoria Police team, and I'll be in the zebra stripes again. Our regular referee can't make it, so it falls to me. The only thing cooler than legally slugging a police officer may be throwing him in jail for two minutes.

So it was a treat to play hockey on my birthday. The next day, we had a huge feast prepared by Mom and Dad: The family traditional spaghetti, Dad's supercharged ceaser salad, Coquille St. Jaques, and angel food birthday cake. Gramma and Grampa came over, Robyn and Jon too. I got up Monday still sluggish from pigging out all weekend, but I think things are back to normal now.

Big changes at work, though none affect me directly. One of our talk show hosts is calling it a career, opening the door for one of our young newsies to take over. She's got plenty of entheusiasm and ideas, I know she's going to do well. Sounds like the afternoon drive show is going to be overhauled, effective mid-Feb. So, a bit of a schedule shuffle but my shifts aren't changing.

We've got a new hot water tank. No more running out!

I had several things I wanted to address here, but they escape me at the moment. Take 'er easy!
