Off to School

I took Bethy down to the ferry terminal this morning to link up with a bus ride on the other side. This will be a cheaper way for her to commute, and actually saves us time on this side to sleep later and have a good brekky together. We had time to enjoy the beach this morning, and I think she left more energized today than the other days so far this week. We've been on a waking schedule that I've not kept probably since I was in grade school! Bed by 10:30, up by 6:30. My gosh, I've been used to turning in after midnight each night, sometimes much later. I will still have to stay up from time to time, that's when my favorite TV is on after all! Infomercials especially.


Today's plan is to paint our bedroom. We want new paint and carpet throughout the house, to put our permanent stamp, so this is the first stage. I'm not working full time, so I have daylight hours to do this sort of thing. I am working at some point today, though I don't know exactly when -- pretty laid back, that place! I made some cinnamon buns yesterday, or at least rolled them up. I'll have to try one later to see how I did. I am also an expert now at mixing milkshakes. Not that it's rocket science.


Well, I've got my computer time done with, and plenty of coffee in me -- time to flip on the radio and get to work! Speaking of, the reception here on Denman is great for the Vancouver stations I like, especially Team 1040 Sports. At night, we get signals from all sorts of far away places, including CFAX from Victoria.
