Cell Phone Blues

Cell phone no longer necessary. But can't let go!

Its amount of use really doesn't justify the monthly charge I'm forking out, even on a minimal plan. But I've had the number for 4-5 years, and I find having it pretty convenient. Heck, it even helped me take part in this year's hockey pool all the way from Montreal! And text messaging, well, that's just awesome.

When I moved in with The Bethy, I suddenly had a land line again. I tell myself that I may need the cell once I'm back to work at the radio station, but then an arguement breaks out. I say to myself, "SELF! You are an idiot. You won't need that phone to sit in front of a computer all day. And when you are out on assignment, you can always take a company phone with you. You are really stupid, Self." To that, I have no reply.

I suspect letting go of the cell will go smoothly, just as I haven't missed cable TV too much since the move. Continuing on that tangent, these are some shows I do miss watching:
  • NHL games and highlights
  • Trailer Park Boys
  • The Cosby Show
  • The Daily Show
  • Conan O'Brian
  • Star Trek reruns
  • MXC
  • The Surreal Life
  • America's Next Top Model
So, not much really. I'm probably better off. Hockey's a big one though.
